my take: this is right up my alley ... informative, practical, full of anecdotal stories, (some of very famous people), self-helpy with lots of scientific studies. the authors set out to discover if willpower can be increased and, if so, how.
good news! yes, you can increase your willpower ... but bad news! for people trying to lose weight. read that chapter, for sure.
i work with recovering drug addicts and alcoholics, so i was very interested in what part willpower plays. lots of interesting stuff there.
this is written in the breezy, interesting style of malcolm gladwell's books - easy to read and lots of fun facts to drop at dinner parties or along the sidelines (soccer moms, et al).
